Question & Answer
MultiFEED Connectivity Service

  1. Q : How much bandwidth is available to users of the MultiFEED Connectivity services?

    A : MultiFEED Connectivity Type 1 Service customers have exclusive use of 10Mbps. Type2 Service customers share 100Mbps with other users,but the service is administered in a way that allows each customer to obtain a minimum bandwidth of 20Mbps. With MultiFEED Connectivity GbE Type Service,customers use the GbE interface to choose 100Mbps,150Mbps or 200Mbps bandwidth.

  2. Q : Can customers keep their existing IP addresses?

    A : IP addresses are assigned by MultiFEED. Customers who have already acquired their own addresses will not be able to use them with this service.

  3. Q : How many global IP addresses can customers use?

    A : MultiFEED assigns as many addresses as needed for the customer's system. Before assigning IP addresses we ask customers about their present and future system needs (initial needs,six months later,etc.).

MultiFEED Housing Service

  1. Q : Is MultiFEED Housing Service available on a standalone basis?

    A : MultiFEED Housing Service is offered only in combination with MultiFEED Connectivity Service.

  2. Q : Is it possible to house large,self-standing equipment that won't fit in a 19-inch rack?

    A : Customers can install large (self-standing) equipment by signing up for our cabin-rental option.

  3. Q : Can customers have leased circuits,ISDN or other lines installed for system maintenance?

    A : Customers may connect to their housed system by leased circuit,ISDN,IP-VPN or other circuit,but only for their maintenance and content updating use. Note that the connection must be a private network separate from the Internet.

MultiFEED Housing Service

  1. Q : What kinds of supervision and maintenance services are provided as part of the basic package?

    A : The basic service package includes primary maintenance,consisting of ping commands to check the customer system response,and on instruction from the customer,checking the display lamp status and the power on/off status.

  1. Q : Is machine room entry possible 24hours a day?

    A : As long as the required procedures are followed,customers can enter the machine room at any time,24 hours a day,7days a week.

  2. Q : What are the required procedures for machine room entry?

    A : A customer wishing to enter the machine room must register for entry in advance. There are also procedures to be followed at the time of room entry.

    A : This service offers the highest level of reachability and quality by providing a direct link to the high-speed backbones of leading Internet service providers that have numerous end users, and also by providing a link to diverse ISP/CATV networks through in-house operated JPNAP, a commercial IX. What's more, our Data Center is conveniently located in downtown Tokyo. What's more,our Data Center is conveniently located in downtown Tokyo.

  2. Q : Does INTERNET MULTIFEED provide hosting services?

    A : We do not provide hosting service directly,but we may be able to provide it through a corporate partner. Please contact our marketing office for details.

  3. Q : Is it possible to contract for MultiFEED Connectivity Service at less than 10Mbps and MultiFEED Housing Service using just half a rack?

    A : It may be possible to provide such services through a corporate partner.

    A : It's located in Otemachi in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward (downtown Tokyo).
